Meet Tash

Okay, real talk.

I became a writer because I genuinely couldn't imagine doing anything else. I tried other things first: four years of university, two years working in a pharmacy. Lovely people, terrible fit. The day I admitted writing was the only thing I actually wanted to do, everything clicked.

I'm Tash, a bubbly, slightly obsessed food and wine writer based in the Barossa Valley, and the founder of The Writing Place. Other than my friends and family, tourism and hospitality are basically my whole world, along with the stories behind the best bites and sips this country has to offer. Through The Writing Place, I help wineries and restaurants stop sounding like a brochure and start sounding like the place you'd actually want to be on a Friday night.

Here's what I know about great writing: it makes you feel something. It makes you hungry, or wanderlusty, or desperate to find that cellar door before it closes. That's what I bring to every brief, whether it's a website that actually sounds like your brand, a blog that keeps people reading to the end, or a destination guide that sells the whole experience without trying too hard.

I'm a mum, an adventurer, and someone who genuinely believes that swirling a glass of something delicious and calling it research is a completely valid life choice.

If you want copy with personality, warmth, and results that actually convert, let's chat.

An afternoon spent in a sun-drenched vineyard isn't slacking off. That's just doing the job properly.
